Shahla Riahi was an acclaimed Iranian actress and film director, known for being the first female director in Iranian cinema. Born on February 7, 1927, in Tehran, Iran, she had a lengthy career in film and theater that spanned several decades.
Riahi initially gained recognition as an actress, with notable roles in several popular Iranian films of the 1950s and 1960s. In 1956, she made her directorial debut with "Marjan," becoming the first woman to direct a feature film in Iran.
