Kokab Moarefi Elahi a leading and pioneering Iranian woman.

Dr. Moarefi was born in Shiraz and grew up in Tehran. He completed his university studies in the field of social sciences at Converse University and Indiana University. Kokab Moarefi Elahi, was the creator of providing social services in Iran and the founder of the General Department of Social Services in the Ministry of Health. He continued his work with enthusiasm until the revolution changed his life and he went to America. He worked for many years in retirement and deeply helped those who needed support. 

Dr.Moarefi was the only woman who held the position of deputy minister in three ministries: Ministry of Labor, Social Welfare and Health.
